BHT, also known as butylated hydroxytoluene, is an extensively utilized antioxidant compound in diverse sectors. Its main purpose is to forestall the spoilage and decline in quality of products containing fats and oils by preventing oxidation and degradation. This chemical compound appears as a white or slightly yellowish powder, and although it is not soluble in water, it can dissolve in fats and oils.
