Process flow chart

Introduction

The flow chart above shows a small size CBD ethanol extraction system. The equipments involved in the process are a 50L extractor, 50L volume centrifugal filter, glass rotary evaporator, pilot size molecular distillation, pipes, valves, etc.

After the hemp material was water-removed and grinded, add ethanol to the material and mix for around half an hour to dissolve the CBD in the ethanol, then separate the ethanol from the material residue through the filter, and then heat the ethanol/extraction mixture with the rotary evaporator. The ethanol evaporates, leaving behind concentrated plant extracts. And at last, use a molecular distillation device to remove impurity and get a high concentrated CBD product.

The chillers can cool the fluid to a very low temperature, so that enough low temperature ethanol can get into the extractors in a short time. By this operation, waxes and other impurities can be effectively prevented from being dissolved into the ethanol mixture, thus making subsequent operation easier.

Features of ethanol extraction process

1) High extraction efficiency, cooling time is very short, and extraction is a very fast process;

2) Small volume extractor, but not small capacity;

3) This method does not require large equipment, relatively low investment;

4) The operation is very simple;

5) The production cycle of the equipment is short;

6) Molecular distillation will increase the CBD yield up to 80%, or even higher.

Special design

1) We can design with one extractor, two extractors, or more extractors according to process capacity;

2) Double filters to separate all solid residual makes purer product after evaporation;

3) Closed pipes line, the liquid product can be delivered by vacuum;

4) The contacting material either SS304 or SS316, both of which are food class.
